Max Pacioretty did not travel with the Vegas Golden State Warriors iron on letter number Golden Knights to Edmonton on Sunday for the Stanley Cup Qualifiers because of a minor injury.

The forward's status for the Golden Knights' exhibition game against the Arizona Coyotes at Rogers Place in Edmonton, the Western Conference hub city, Thursday (10 p.m. ET; NHLN, FS-A PLUS, NHL.TV), is unknown. "He's not with us and he'll join us as soon as he's healthy and able to participate," Vegas coach Peter DeBoer said Monday. Pacioretty led the Golden Knights during the regular season with 66 points (32 goals, 34 assists) in 71 games but was week-to-week when the NHL season was paused March 12 due to COVID-19 Iron Ons concerns surrounding the coronavirus. He homemade jersey patches hasn't practiced since July 20, but DeBoer said he expected Pacioretty to rejoin the team prior to its departure for Edmonton.

With Pacioretty out, forward Nick Cousins has been skating on the Golden Knights' top line with William Karlsson and Mark Stone. As part of the NHL Return to Play Plan, a team is not permitted to disclose player injury or illness information. Vegas (39-24-8, .606 points percentage) was first in the Pacific Division at the season pause and will play against the Dallas Stars (Aug. 3), St. Louis Blues (Aug. 6) and Colorado Avalanche (Aug. 8) in the round-robin portion of the Qualifiers at Rogers Place to determine seeding for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. DeBoer said Pacioretty was the only player who did not practice Monday.
